Beyond the Shop: Typhoon Relief in the Philippines

Last November, following the devastation caused by a typhoon in the Philippines, members of the Emerald team came together to help families and communities affected by the storm.

We helped prepare and distribute donated supplies to people dealing with the aftermath. It was a simple effort with one goal: to help where we could.

This relief effort became another chapter in the Emerald Cares story and a reminder that community has no borders.

A History of Giving Back

Over the years, Emerald Cares has supported organizations and causes including Lodi Adopt a Child, Stockton 209 Cares Back to School Backpack Giveaway, Little Free Pantry in Tracy, Mendo Shelter Pets Rescue, Stockton Animal Shelter, Butte Humane Society, Elk Grove Lapcats, and relief efforts connected to the Northern California wildfires, Carr Fire, Houston floods, and Oroville Dam crisis.

We are grateful for every opportunity to contribute and for everyone who has helped make these efforts possible.

Looking Back, Moving Forward

We originally shared the Philippines relief effort through photos and social media, but we wanted to give the story a permanent place on our website.

Looking back reminds us how many people have come together through Emerald Cares over the years. Whether the need is right here in our community or thousands of miles away, we believe that helping when we can is what matters.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, contributed supplies, or simply helped spread the word.

Emerald may be known for tattoos and piercings, but our community has always been a much bigger part of who we are.
